Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire Bike Ride

A few weekends back, there was a lovely sunny afternoon, so I thought I’d get out on my trusty old Raleigh bike and cycle along the Metals to Dalkey, then via Bullock Harbour on to Dun Laoghaire, where I came across some great musicians near the pier. After all the riding, I had a bit of a thirst on, so a take away pint was in order !

I was shooting the opening of the Press Photographer of the Year exhibition at the dlr Lexicon last week and Marian Keyes, the Exec. Librarian took us up on to the roof to see the views of Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove, which are spectacular – even with a bank of rain falling over Howth !

It’s beginning to look a lot like….

There is no doubt about it, but Christmas 2020 is going to be like no other we have experienced as we continue to live our lives in the shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic.

If social media is anything to go by, it seems like many of us are going to get into the festive spirit early this year. Distraction being a great balm to these difficult times.

It will be a historic Christmas, one many of us will be talking about with our grandchildren and maybe even great-children for decades to come.
