Tinahely Railway Walk

As it was a nice day today Barbara, Cosmo and I took a run out to Tinahely in Wicklow and went along the Railway Walk, 3km each way of a lovely, leafy, level walk – followed by a well deserved coffee and a scone in the Stonecutter Cafe in Aughrim !

National Classic Spin

Last Sunday the inaugural ‘National Classic Spin’ was held, with the event being organised by Irish Vintage Scene magazine , sponsored by FBD Insurance and raising funds for Aware.

I was commissioned to cover the photopoint at Blessington Co.Wicklow, shooting the participants as they drove towards the stop in the town, and then followed them to get some photos of the owners and members of the public admiring all the lovely vehicles.

Irish Olympic Team Homecoming

I popped out to Dublin Airport earlier today to picture the homecoming of Team Ireland from the Tokyo Olympics – star of the show was gold medal winner Kellie Harrington, along with bronze medal winner Aidan Walsh

The Liberties, Dublin

A few weeks back I took a walk around the Liberties in Dublin, an area I’ve driven through many times over the years but haven’t had a chance to explore and found lots of interesting subjects to picture from the areas people, it’s markets, lovely back streets and the iconic Rainsford Street with the old Guinness rail tracks and gates at the end.

Early evening walk around Dalkey

We took an early evening walk a round Dalkey a few nights back, and this time walked our usual route in reverse, which meant I saw things I’d not spotted before – there’s always so many great details around the town, ranging from boats, to postboxes, weather heated winches, and even a picturesque loo at Coliemore Harbour !

Killiney Beach walk

There was a stiff breeze blowing along the beach, which seemed to suit the kite surfer whizzing along with Dalkey Island in the background and Cormorants sat patiently on rocks, looking out to sea. Cosmo, our Labrador pup enjoyed playing with his ball in the water and a discarded childs toy peeped out from among the stones.
