Car Parks

Car Parks

I find car parks interesting, with their light and shade, sometimes an eerie quality, and then areas lit by sun through a window or from above through a grate. With the colour taken away and transformed into B&W they take on a new dimension.

Here’s a few images from an ongoing personal project.

Wicklow afternoon out

Wicklow afternoon out

We took a run out to Mount Usher in Ashford on Saturday afternoon, then drove back up the coast road and popped to Newcastle beach, where we didn’t linger for long as it was so cold – then on the way home found a house in Greystones that’s been done up for the filming of Disney’s ‘Disenchanted’, before stopping in Bray for a Teddys 99′ in the car while watching the scenery and the rain on the windscreen..!

Cycle into Dublin

Cycle into Dublin

The weather today was lovely, so Barbara & I cycled into Dublin to spend some time in Town, which we’ve not done for a long time. There was plenty to see and lots of colour too !

Dalkey Walk

Dalkey Walk

Barbara and I often take a walk around Dalkey, taking very much the same route, from Bullock Harbour, past Coliemore Harbour, back into the village and out again, but there’s always something different to see – the light changes, something different is spotted, we take a different road and there’s new things to see – Dalkey is full of great details and it’s always handy to have a camera with me !

Bullock Harbour Dalkey

Bullock Harbour Dalkey

As the sun starts to go down, the light in the harbour changes towards the warm orange of sunset and the shadows became longer – there’s always great details to be taken in fishing harbours, from the boats to the nets, ropes, chains and the odd sea bird too…
