Food Photoshoot for Piccolo Bistro Caffe, Cabinteely

My local Italian cafe, Piccolo, in The Park, run by Laura & Sergio added some new dishes to the menu, so I popped in and took some photos for them to add to their website – the food’s authentic with great taste !

Cold and Windy Dun Laoghaire Pier walk

Cold and Windy Dun Laoghaire Pier walk

The skies were heavy, the wind blew and it was COLD !! – so we parked near the seafront and walked along to the East Pier and out to the lighthouse at the end – it was bitter.

As always, I had a camera with me and although the weather and light weren’t great, there were still some interesting pics to take…

Dalkey Sunrise

On Sunday we got up at 5am and headed down to Dillons Park in Dalkey to watch the sunrise and were lucky with the weather as not only was there a lovely sunrise, but a great pattern in the clouds too. I wasn’t the only photographer there, and Kieran Tuke from Shankill kindly agreed to being pictured as he took his own photos. There was even a lone figure standing by the Martello tower on Dalkey Island

Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire Bike Ride

Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire Bike Ride

A few weekends back, there was a lovely sunny afternoon, so I thought I’d get out on my trusty old Raleigh bike and cycle along the Metals to Dalkey, then via Bullock Harbour on to Dun Laoghaire, where I came across some great musicians near the pier. After all the riding, I had a bit of a thirst on, so a take away pint was in order !

Views from the Lexicon

I was shooting the opening of the Press Photographer of the Year exhibition at the dlr Lexicon last week and Marian Keyes, the Exec. Librarian took us up on to the roof to see the views of Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove, which are spectacular – even with a bank of rain falling over Howth !

Sean the Fox

Sean the Fox

We have a nightly visitor in our garden – a fox who’s been named Sean and comes up close to the house, giving a great opportunity to take his picture !
