While out on a cycle ride we discovered the Rathmichael Cemetery, which is a hidden gem, at the end of a country lane around the back of Rathmichael.
The ruin of the church is from the middle ages and there’s also the base of a round tower beside it, with many interesting graves in the grounds surrounding the church, including that of Joseph Murphy, a public lamp lighter who died in 1960.
We were also lucky with the weather, as it was a glorious sunny day !
